![]() ![]() ![]() Watch the “Loki’s Ages of Ragnarok” trailer below. Rune 2 is scheduled to launch later this Summer and will be available exclusively on the Epic Games Store. You can submit your questions on the official Rune 2 Discord channel. The devs will be answering questions during the stream and will also be giving away a Rune Classic gift to lucky viewers. If you’re eager to get a first look at Loki’s Age of Night, Human Head will be hosting a livestream on Twitch this Friday, June 28 th at 1pm PST. Are you powerful enough to take down Loki or will a new Age of Darkness begin?” Alone or with friends, you will battle legions of Loki’s minions in brutal melee combat, travel the world collecting rare resources, locate precious artifacts to weaken the Realm Gate and craft the mightiest weapons the Nine Realms have ever seen. The launch of the Viking action-RPG Rune 2 was an odd affair, to say the least. Rune 2 - formerly known as Rune: Ragnarok - nearly ready, and now apparently signed up to launch on Epic this summer. You have been chosen by the gods to be Midgard’s savior - receive their blessings and powerful abilities as you endeavor to end Ragnarok! Race against time to prevent the trickster Loki and his minions from destroying Midgard as he keeps the world in a perpetual state of chaos. Rune: Ragnarok rebrands as Rune 2 and sets sail for a summer launch. “Inspired by the original Rune (2000), RUNE II is set in a dangerous Norse universe during Ragnarok, the end of days, where beasts and the last remaining humans alike struggle to survive. The launch of the action-RPG Rune 2 in November was odd, to say the least. “From everlasting night, to unending blizzards, to cities filled with fire… as Midgard’s chosen savior will you be able to finish what the gods cannot?” Originally revealed in 2017, Rune II was revealed as Rune: Ragnarok in 2017, got its named changed to just Rune in early 2018, and was even played and enjoyed by DualShockers at E3 2018. The new trailer sportlights the game’s lore centering around Loki and how he’s managed to control time and continually reset Ragnarok, each time bringing different obstacles that players have to contend with. There is a weekly limit when all available items in the rune store. This is certainly a way to put the game on everyone's radar again.Human Head Studios has just released a brand new trailer for their upcoming Viking-themed MMORPG Rune 2. Kill all Epic Spirit Guard Officers and youll get teleported back to the Thanatos. Perhaps the game will indeed become super fun, and I wonder if Ragnarok is planning a console release now that the Epic Store exclusivity deal is over. I also don't know how Ragnarok treated Human Head throughout Rune 2's development. On the other hand, I only imagine that Human Head are made of a bunch of people who would love to work on the next Elder Scrolls instead of doing their own B-list game. There are also regular giveaways on Epic Games Store. Zenimax creating a subsidiary just to buy the studio seems shady a shit, and it definitely stinks of some degree of sabotage. Stores like Humble Bundle or Indie Gala frequently give away free Steam keys for promotional purposes. It seems the game got a re-release a couple of weeks ago and the new dev (Studio 369) is working hard on the game with weekly updates according to some user reviews. I wonder if these DLCs were ever going to be profitable considering the game got <50% scores, but Ragnarok's claims are that the developers themselves sabotaged the game close to release so it would tank. However, i t seems Ragnarok has had the source code since early January so it's not like they lost many months/years in courts to get it back. Rune 2 released a year ago on November 12 on the Epic Store with pretty bad reviews across the board (it was hardly going to be a "Skyrim on steroids").Īpparently Ragnarok's complaints were that Human Head closed doors the day after release and refused to provide them with the game's source code so they could release DLCs. Now, Viking warriors are once again being called to save Midgard from Loki’s evil plots in Rune 2 (formerly Rune: Ragnarok) the highly-awaited sequel to Rune.
